IFSC Brixen 2023 Boulder World Cup
The second round of the European IFSC World Cup goes to the beautiful Italian mountain town of Brixen. Just a week after Prague Boulder World Cup, a few top climbers opt to take a break and skip Brixen. However, even without some of the top names the Brixen world cup finals were a nail-biter going right down to the wire.
Women’s Boulder Finals Result
The women’s final result was close. However, Natalia Grossman was able to bring her A game and won gold by topping all 4 problems. Chaehyun Seo had been a phenomenon as a lead climber but had not been able to translate her success from lead to boulder. But in Brixen, she was able to outperform many of the boulder specialists and won her first career boulder world cup medal by finishing in second place. Stasa Gejo gave a gutsy performance in the finals and came in third for a bronze medal.

Men’s Boulder Finals Result
After finishing in 2nd place at Prague, Adam Ondra missed out on the finals in Brixen finishing outside the top 6 spots needed to reach the finals. The men’s final is one of the closest finishes in 2023 so far. The winner was decided by the last climber. Toby Roberts needs to top the last boulder problem to win, anything less will place him in 4th. With all to play for Toby topped Boulder 4 with 19 seconds left on the clock giving him his first world cup gold of his career.
