IFSC Jakarta 2023 Speed World Cup
The IFSC 2nd speed climbing world cup of 2023 comes to Jakarta Indonesia. With 2 climbers capable of setting a new speed record every time they compete, Indonesians have high hopes that Veddriq Leonardo or Kiromal Katbin can set a new speed record and win the speed world cup on home soil. As for the women’s event, Poland has been dominating the speed competition this year with Aleksandra Miroslaw winning in Seoul and setting a women’s speed record.
Men Speed Final Results
The men’s competition was intense with many climbers coming close to the under 5 seconds mark. The star of the men’s speed-climbing Verddriq unfortunately was knocked out in the quarter-finals by Peng Wu. However, all were not lost as Raharjat Nursamsa won the finals and Kiromal Katbin finished in 3rd in front of their home crowd.

Women Speed Final Results
The women’s final was won by Aleksandra Miroslaw by the skin of her teeth. With the home crowd cheering on, Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi was a mere 0.1-second behind to finish in a close 2nd place.
